Otomo - The Complete Works 6 - G.....

This volume finally presents the complete four-chapter story (approximately 80 pages/unfinished), a highly anticipated “phantom work”. The depictions of ground battles and fighter planes within the work are spectacular and showcase the powerful artistic talent and direction that would later be seen in “The Mood is Already War” and “AKIRA”.
It also includes the complete four-part novel ‘The Saint Comes to Town,’ which depicts the chaos and miracles caused by a legendary jazz band's visit to Japan, and the complete series of fairy tale parodies ‘Katsuhiro Otomo's Nutritious!’, originally serialised in double-page spreads in the music magazine ‘rockin'on’.
Other short stories included are two from Sayonara Nippon (1981/Futabasha), one from Hansel and Gretel (1981/Sony Magazines), two from Her Memories... (1990/Kodansha), and two from ‘SOS Great Tokyo Exploration Team’ (1996/Kodansha).
It should be noted that the short story ‘DON QUIXOTE’, whose panels were reversed from left to right and modified to open from right to left in its initial compilation edition, has been restored in this volume to its original design, reading from left to right from the end.
In addition, all short stories originally published in colour in magazines have been reproduced with their original colour illustrations.
