Otomo - The complete Works 2 - Boogie Wooogie Waltz

This collection presents fifteen short manga works published by Katsuhiro Otomo between 1974 and 1976, when he was between 20 and 22 years old, arranged chronologically according to their publication date.
Focusing on works from the volume ‘BOOGIE WOOGIE WALTZ,’ published by Kitan-sha in 1982, this definitive compilation finally includes two works that had not been included previously: ‘ONE DOWN’ and ‘Mirror Hell,’ a manga adaptation of a short story by Edogawa Ranpo.
This collection presents a series of ambitious works that allow readers to deeply appreciate the raw yet experimental and extraordinarily talented spirit of the young Katsuhiro Otomo in his search for new forms of expression, a spirit that would later crystallise in works such as ‘Dōmu’ and ‘AKIRA’.
In addition, ‘A Voice Calls to Awaken’ includes a long-lost final page, omitted from both the original publication and the compilation edition, which is revealed here for the first time.
