Osamu Tezuka: Animation Art Archives (Vol 1 & Vol 2)

Osamu Tezuka: Animation Art Archives (手塚治虫アニメーションアート・アーカイブス) is a two-volume set gathering the animation materials created by Osamu Tezuka himself.

It gathers about 800 pages of image boards, model sheets, key drawings and storyboards drawn by his own hand, most of them published for the first time. Volume 1 covers the TV series of the 1960s and early 70s (Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion, Princess Knight); volume 2, those of the late 70s and 80s. Essential reference material on Tezuka's mark on anime history.
