Okami Ezoushi: Kizuna - Okami Setting Art Collection (Reprint Edition)

Okami Ezoushi: Kizuna (大神繪草子 絆 ～大神設定画集～) is the reissue of the official art book for Capcom's video game Ōkami, gathering all the design material of its world.

Originally published by Capcom in 2006 and out of print for years, this A4 volume of 288 pages comprehensively compiles the world of Ōkami: sketches, character and world designs inspired by sumi-e ink painting and the ukiyo-e style. The adventure follows Amaterasu, the sun goddess turned into a white wolf, and the brush mechanic with which symbols are drawn to work miracles. This edition is a complete reproduction of the original, published by Futabasha to mark the game's 20th anniversary.

Recommended level: as a rough guide, N2–N1. As an art book, its appeal is above all visual and it can be enjoyed at any level; the setting texts use specialized vocabulary and carry no furigana, so reading them is aimed at those who already read Japanese fluently.

Original Japanese edition, without furigana.
