More info

125 Extended Patterns for Japanese Conversation is a book to learn how grammatical patterns work in order to form expressions in Japanese. This book is mainly targeted to Intermediate or high intermediate students (JLPT 3,2 or 1) who are seeking to learn how small nuances can change the meaning of an entire expression in Japanese.

The book contains 125 patterns divided in 3 different parts:

- The first part contains the patterns that connect sentences between them with the goal of expressing a certain cause. This section also includes patterns of some exclusive Japanese forms such as "te" or "ta" forms.

- The second part contains patterns to stop, continue or begin a conversation. The books emphasizes the fact that speakers should try to express their feelings when they speak in Japanese: expressing sadness, happyness or disappointment.

- The third part includes useful words that are commonly used in Japanese conversations.

Each page of the book contains an expression or word written in Japanese and English. Right below, there is a brief definition of each expression. All sentences come with their translation into English.

The book includes a CD in which all expressions and examples are read, which helps improving listening comprehension.
