Nihongo Breakthrough - From survival to communication in Japanese is a book for those who wish to learn Japanese from a communicative perspective. The book begins with hiragana and katakana and then it focuses in teaching different ways of expressing yourself in different situations.
The book is divided in two different parts: The first one is focused in teaching the language in the different situations that students will encounter when they arrive in Japan: check in at the hotel, buying groceries, order in a restaurant etc. The second part is focused in the different relations of between family and friends, keeping in mind that the language changes if we are speaking with our family or the family of a friend.
Since the main goal of the book is to teach Japanese from a communicative perspective, all texts have been written in Hiragana and with its romanized version. The book includes vocabulary tables grouped by topic: family, food, school, etc. Texts do not contain kanji.
The book includes a CD with all dialogues read out loud. You can also download these audios though the link located on top of this file.
A book specially recommended for those without any knowledge of Japanese and they wish to start learning this language to being able to communicate in Japan.
