Getting to Know Each Other through Everyday Conversation! is a book aimed at intermediate or advanced students (N3,N2) who want to improve their Japanese communication skills. Specifically, this book focuses on the student's ability to speak Japanese in a natural way. For this reason, the dialogues included in this book reflect the way Japanese people usually speak: with abbreviated forms, omission of particles and with an informal register.

This book is divided into 10 units. Each unit includes conversations between the main characters of the book. Each conversation is followed by an analysis of the different elements of the dialogue with English explanations. Each of the explanations includes additional examples. New and more complex translated vocabulary is included at the end of each unit.

All the kanji in the book include the reading in furigana.
