New Rainbow (Elementary School Japanese Words Dictionary) - 6th edition is a dictionary oriented to Japanese kids from the prestigious publisher Gakken Education Publishing. The dictionary includes 37.200 words and has a clear layout, organized and really pretty. The Japanese kids have been enjoying this dictionary for about forty years: the first edition dates from 1982. This sixth edition has been printed in color and terms are now even easier to find.
At the end of the book there is a kanji mini-dictionary where the order of the stokes is detailed and the meaning of the 1006 required characters for the primary school in Japan.
This dictionary is exclusively written in Japanese. It could be used for intermediate and advanced (N3 or above) level students considering that the book is for native Japanese kids.
The dictionary comes along with a cardboard case and wrapped in a plastic cover.
