The Beautiful Traditional Colors of Japan - Color Dictionary Book (美しい日本の伝統色) is a visual dictionary of 277 traditional Japanese colours arranged by season.

It presents 277 representative traditional Japanese colours arranged across the four seasons, with the colour swatch and an explanation of its name, accompanied by photographs of plants and annual celebrations and by works of art and craft. It includes themed columns on colour names drawn from plants, ukiyo-e, birds, animals or kabuki actors. Every swatch lists its Munsell, CMYK, RGB and HEX values. Part of the text is bilingual (Japanese and English).
