BRUTUS English Edition: LIVING SPACE STUDIES in JAPAN (居住空間学) is a special BRUTUS edition published entirely in English, bringing together three years of «Living Space Studies», the magazine's series devoted to homes and the people who live in them.

It presents 22 people with a very personal way of living: those who have built their dream home in the mountains, those who preserve architectural masterpieces and those who have renovated a small flat to suit their daily life. Published by Magazine House.

Contents of the issue

• Chapter 1, Creating a Place Like No Other: the homes of a director, a designer, an editor, a creative director, an architect, a distiller, a baker and a manufacturer, including those of Takayuki Fujii (nonnative) and Yoshitaka Haba (BACH) in the hills of Kyoto.
• Chapter 2, Taking Over a Home: modern houses that have passed to new owners, such as Genichiro Inokuma's house, G House (now Tsudayama House) and Villa Fukumura.
• Chapter 3, Life in Scandinavia and UK: homes blending Danish and Japanese aesthetics, the homes of designer couples in Finland and Charles Jencks' postmodern house.
