Hakoya Kokeshi Bento - Size M - Model 52677-6 - Maneki-Neko - (White color)

This surprising Bento belongs to the Bento Koheshi collection from the Hakoya brand. It is a collection of lunch boxes with the shape of the typical wood doll kokeshi.

This is the Maneki-Neko model, the Japanese cat of luck in white color, and consists of two separated compartments. The upper compartment has a very resistant cover that prevents leakages, and thus, it can be used to retain liquids. What is special about the design is the funny inverted bowl that serves as the kokeshi doll hat.

The total capacity of the bento is 640ml, divided in the following way:

-Upper compartment: 240ml.

-Lower compartment: 200ml.

-Bowl: 200ml.

The kokeshi bentos can be introduced to the microwave and the dishwasher without the covers. In case of putting it in the dishwasher it is recommended to use liquid soap instead of the tablets, in order to safeguard the paint.

These bentos are hand painted one by one emulating the Yamanaka’s Kokeshi dolls painting features from the Ishikawa Prefecture. Thus, if there is any irregularity, it is a result of the handcraft work.
