This funny bento is handcrafted by the prestigious brand Hakoya and in Japan it is usually used to bring the onigiri (rice balls). It can also be used to take cheese, meat, salads, nuts or some dessert.
Altough is small size, it consists of two separated compartments with a total capacity of 250 ml: the upper one is 150 ml, and the lower one is 100 ml.
The nemto belongs to the series Hayoya kotoritachi (birds). This model has a wonderful picture of an owl. This article is carefully hand painted, that is why it can have some irregularities due to its artisan production.
Both of the covers have to be removed when using the bento in the microwave. It is important to warn that the bento can not be introduced in the washing machine.
