Cat-shaped charm made from a teal wool pompom, with brown felt ears, two googly eyes, a black nose and a muzzle formed by two smaller white pompoms. The tail peeks out at the back in the same teal as the body. It clips onto a backpack, bag or belt loop with a metal snap hook, and in daylight it looks like nothing more than an ornament — but at night it does a job: the reflective fibre woven into the pompom bounces headlight beams back and makes the wearer visible.

Features

• Genuinely reflective: there is no sticker or added patch; the reflective thread is woven into the pompom itself, so it returns light from any angle and won't peel off with use.
• Visible thread: against the teal you can make out the silvery reflective strands spread across the pompom, which by day simply read as a fleck in the yarn.
• Reflective loop: the tape joining the pompom to the snap hook is also reflective material, so it shines even when the pompom is facing the bag.
• Discreet safety: useful for walking home at night, for the school run in winter or for evening dog walks, without the building-site look of other reflectors.
• Swivel attachment: the snap hook has a rotating link, so the pompom never ends up with the tape twisted however much it swings.
• Minimal weight: 13 grams, so it adds no drag and won't pull on the zip it hangs from.
• Handmade piece: because it is assembled by hand, the position of the eyes and ears varies slightly from one unit to the next. Every cat has its own face and the expression cannot be chosen.
