More info

Japanese towel by the renowned brand Kurochiku.

The front part is made of table cloth and shows a print of cherryblossom and rabbits.

This kind of towel called tenugui (手拭い) in Japanese has an interesting history: In the Edo era, many cotton kimonos were made, and the leftovers of the fabric were used to make these towels. The reason why the tenugui have the same width (33 cm) is because the fabric rolls were 33cm wide.

The tenugui can be used for several purposes: as a hand towel, a kitchen cloth, a scarf or even as a headscarf.

Ideal as a gift idea or to give your everyday life a Japanese touch.
