Quick Mastery of Vocabulary is a vocabulary book (from the Japanese Vocabulary Speed Master series) designed for Japanese language learners preparing for levels N5 and N4 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). With this book, learners can learn and memorise a total of 1,800 essential words of basic Japanese, organised thematically and grammatically.

The content of the book is divided into two main parts. In the first part, the vocabulary is presented in 54 thematic blocks, such as: food, weather, school, numbers, family, body, products, accidents, among others. The second part addresses more grammatical aspects of vocabulary, with blocks dedicated to verbs, nouns, adjectives, katakana expressions, and honorific language.

Each word is written in kanji and hiragana and is accompanied by its translation into English, Chinese, and Korean. In addition, contextualised usage examples are included, indicating whether the expression is formal or informal, and in many cases synonyms or antonyms are added to enrich the learning experience.

The book is printed in two colours, red and black, and includes a semi-transparent red sheet that allows you to hide the meanings and translations. In this way, students can actively practise memorisation by covering the red part and checking if they remember the reading or meaning of each word.

A digital audio download (DAD) system is also included, allowing you to listen to all the example sentences in Japanese. This helps to improve listening comprehension and pronunciation.

Finally, the book is complemented by grammar appendices, such as verb conjugation exercises, and a complete index with all the words organised for easy reference.
