Let's Explore Kanji - A Picture Tour of Japanese Characters is the book that follows Let's Explore Hiragana & Katakana written by Bret Mayer, this is why this new book has the same style than the previous one: small size, which fits into a pocket and it has been printed in full color. 

This books contains 100 elementary kanji: numbers, days of the week etc. By knowing this basic core, students will obtain a base and they will know the required kanji for the level 5 of official JLPT exam. 

Each page contains a kanji, number of strokes, a sentence that contextualizes each kanji and a small explanation that will help students remembering each kanji. 

The book includes a link (Also provided at the very beginning of this file) in which student will be able to download audio files that show how each sound should be pronounced.

The book has been written and designed by Bret Mayer, the first American person who passed the first level of the Kanji Kentei exam. He currently teaches kanji at the university of Ritsumeikan.
