Kingdom Box Set 1: Retaking the Royal Capital & the Battle of Dakan Plains (キングダム BOXセット 1 王都奪還編・蛇甘平原の戦い) is the first box set of Kingdom, the manga by Yasuhisa Hara published by Shueisha in the Young Jump Comics line. It brings together volumes 1 to 10 in a single case, covering the retaking of the royal capital and the battle of the Dakan Plains. It belongs to the series of box sets that Shueisha launched in 2026 to celebrate the manga's 20th anniversary.

In China during the Warring States period, Xin and Piao, two orphans serving in a village of Qin, train with the sword every day, dreaming of becoming great generals. One day Piao is summoned to the royal palace and soon returns badly wounded. This is how Xin meets the young king Ying Zheng, identical to Piao, whose throne has been seized by his half-brother Cheng Jiao. With the help of the mountain people and their queen, Yang Duan He, they set out to retake the capital, Xianyang. Afterwards, Xin enlists as a foot soldier and fights his first battle against Wei on the Dakan Plains.

Contents: volumes 1 to 10 (10 volumes, 2,124 pages in total), B6 format. The case features colour illustrations and scenes from the included volumes.

Recommended level: Advanced (JLPT N2–N1). Military and strategic vocabulary abounds, with the names of generals, ranks and places of ancient China written in kanji, in the formal register typical of historical drama.
