Choujin X Vol.17

Choujin X Vol.17 (超人X 17) is the new volume of the action manga about superhuman powers by Sui Ishida, the author of Tokyo Ghoul.

In this volume, the war ravaging the seven states rages on without respite. The defences hold on every front, but the situation will not budge, and the allied army decides to speed up the training of a new generation of keepers. Meanwhile, two of the protagonists are travelling by train from Yamato to Higo when they come under a surprise attack. And with a single image, «in the beginning there was a black sea», a new chapter of the story opens.

Recommended level: Advanced (JLPT N2–N1). As a seinen title it uses adult vocabulary, science-fiction and action terms and stylish dialogue, so the kanji must be read without help.

Original Japanese edition, without furigana.
