Flowers for Algernon (Japanese Version)

Flowers for Algernon (Japanese Version) (アルジャーノンに花束を) is the Japanese edition of Daniel Keyes's science fiction novel.

The story follows Charlie Gordon, a thirty-two-year-old man with an intellectual disability who is chosen to undergo experimental surgery meant to multiply his intelligence, a procedure already tested successfully on a laboratory mouse named Algernon. Told through Charlie's own progress reports, his mind rises to the level of genius as he uncovers hard truths about human relationships and empathy, before confronting the unexpected effects of the treatment. This pocket-format reissue, part of the Hayakawa Bunko NV line, includes as an exclusive extra the 1999 conversation between the author and singer Utada Hikaru.
