Nihongo de bunka taiken - kotoba to bunka de tsunagaru is a book oriented to students of intermediate level (N3) and up who want to practice Japanese through different aspects of the culture: food, festivities, tourist places, traditions, etc.

Each of the 7 units that make up this book focuses on an aspect of Japanese culture, but all of them include exercises in which the student must practice writing, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, and vocabulary. At the end of each unit, a list of vocabulary translated into English is included.

All kanji include furigana throughout the book.

As this is a book in which the answers to the exercises are open-ended, the solutions to the exercises are not included, so self-study use of the book is not strongly recommended.
